Cardi B could officiate Kal Penn’s dream wedding

Cardi B has offered to officiate the wedding of actor Kal Penn and his partner of 11 years, Josh Hall.

Penn tweeted after spotting the rapper on a recent flight that he had literally dreamed about the wedding.

“Cardi B was on my flight to LA,” he posted.

“I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”

Cardi B responded to the tweet, saying, “First, why didn’t you say hi! Second, I’m licensed to do that sooo… let me know.”

“You’re the best,” replied Penn.

“Was gonna say hi but didn’t want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on).

“But holy shit let’s do it! We’re down if you’re down!”

Cardi B is an officially licensed marriage celebrant.

Ahead of this year’s National Coming Out Day, she officiated the wedding of brides Brandi and Shannon, with the assistance of actor and queer icon Raven-Symoné.

Although Penn has always been open about his relationship with Hall, he recently went public by discussing it in his new memoir You Can’t Be Serious.

“I’ve always been very public with everybody I’ve personally interacted with,” Penn told People.

“Whether it’s somebody that I meet at a bar, if Josh and I are out, or we’re talking to friends.

“I’m really excited to share our relationship with readers.

“But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother, four people who I’m closest to in the family, are fairly quiet.

“They don’t love attention and shy away from the limelight.”

Penn is best known for his roles as Kumar Patel in the Harold & Kumar films and Dr Lawrence Kutner in the series House, which he left in 2009 to take up a position as Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs under the Obama Administration.
